ONLY FOR DREAM LEAGUE SOCCER

GENERAL DLS TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS (UPDATED TIME TO TIME)

The DLS Game Tournament is a special tournament in the Dream League Soccer (DLS) universe, designed to test players' managerial skills and in-game abilities. It is open to all teams, regardless of their current league tier, making it an inclusive and prestigious event to attend

#General Membership Rules

Rules, Regulations or Ts & Cs will be updated from time to time, and it's mandatory to read the changes to avoid falling victim. (Please join your individual league groups to see the Specialized rules for the leagues)

All team Managers must clearly read and understand the rules and regulations of the competitions

1. A) Eligibility

Open to all Dream League Soccer players who meet the following criteria:

  1. Have progressed past Division 1 in Career Mode.

  2. Have a team rating of 65+ or equivalent.

  3. Have access to good internet and device, to avoid related complaints / excuses

  4. Players can use custom kits and must have team logos Certified by OTO  for added personalization. (No use of already known real club’s logos, names or badges in our games)

  5. No external cheats or hacks are permitted; violations lead to disqualification or points loss to the opponent upon successful investigation.

B). Player Development and Training

  1.   Teams are encouraged to train their players to improve ratings and skills before the tournament.

  2.   Newly scouted players or transfers are allowed but must meet team synergy requirements.

  3.  Teams with more than 1 Special player will be grouped in the same league, but can compete generally in the elimination tournaments (Knock Outs), unless advised otherwise by organizers.

2. A) Online Play Rules

  1. You must ensure you agree with your opponent as to when you will play your matches within the hours between the current and next fixtures. If you do not present results after that time, each team will be fined with a -3 points, should they fail to present convincing evidence leading to that. Time of next fixtures shall vary, but not less than 12 hours.

  1. After the game, each team MUST post the results screenshot to the results group. This acts as confirmation or acknowledgement of match results.

  1. A team that misses more than THREE (3) fixtures in a row, without strong reasons, will be replaced or fined with a -9 points upon failing to explain genuinely.

  1. A team that wishes to quit the league should inform Organisers in advance (at least a week before) to allow planning for replacement or next action (If it's due to an emergency, then evidence should be provided to back the excuse).

  1. If your opponent refuses to respond as to a suitable time within 24 hours (before the next fixtures), contact admin, with proof, to claim your points. (Share Pictures or recordings where necessary to assist in the case)

  1. Matches should be scheduled when players can have stable internet connection.

Teams must not complain of incoming calls or phone notification distraction as causes of losing the game because these are both avoidable  by enabling Flight Mode (If using WiFi) or DND (if using Mobile Data).

NOTE: DND doesn't stop you from knowing who has called when playing, but the calls / notifications will not interfere as well.

  1. Sportsmanship is mandatory

[A] Disconnecting mid-match, beyond the 44th minute, will result in penalties or automatic loss, and, disconnecting more than twice will lead to an opponent taking the win, especially if there is no clear reason. If any hindering reason is identified, immediately capture proof to assist Administrators in judgement.

[B] Disconnecting mid-match, beyond the 70th minute, will result in penalties or automatic loss.

Disconnecting due to network issues (with clear evidence),  beyond the 85th minute when the game is in a tie (draw), the teams will agree to do the following;

1. Take a draw

2. Rematch for 45 minutes with the tie handicap score.

C] Disconnecting without clear evidence,  beyond the 85th minute will result into the following; 1. The leading team can claim the win (No rematching at all)

2. The winning team can decide on how many minutes to rematch, but not less than 20 minutes

B) Game Fair Play Rules

  1. In case one team fails to play due to network or hardware problems (Strong reasons should be provided with evidence), this game can be rescheduled, but within the same day of the fixture. The scores before network issues shall be maintained in the rematch.

  2. Any goal scored during the opponent's network interference shall not be considered valid. i.e If the opponent fails to control players at all due to network or hardware cause, any goal scored against them will not be counted. If there is no evidence to back it up, the goal(s) will be counted.

It's always evident that in such cases, the scoring time of both parties does not match in the statistics window, that is the first factor to consider. Also, recorded videos can be considered in this case.

Consider Pausing from your side, or play defensive to allow them settle and fairly Participate

  1. Any player that fails to pause during time of interference and endures to proceed with the match should not complain or bring excuses after the final results.

3. Leaderboard and Rankings

Teams competing in the DLS Game Tournament are ranked on a global leader-board.

The leaderboard tracks: Points (P) Matches Played (MP) Wins (W)Draws (D)Losses (L) Goals Scored (F) Goals Conceded (A) Goals Difference (GD) Goals Average (GA) Improvement Percentage (%)

Others will be added from time to time.

4. Branding and Customization

  1. Teams should never change their names and/or logo when a season has started. This act is condemned and discouraged as this would distract other teams/opponents and can disrupt the ongoing competition.

  2. Team logos must be relative to the sport / game, and looking attractive to meet OTO standards, without any blasphemous or illegal symbols.

  3. Team customization particulars must be approved and disclosed to the organisers. For example, Away/Home jersey colors, 3rd kits. A picture of all the team kits must be shared to the organizer database for referential integrity.

5. Code of Conduct.

All teams must adhere to fair play principles and refrain from exploiting glitches or unfair tactics.

Cheating, such as using bots, unauthorized tools, leads to immediate disqualification. Play your games, yourself.

No use of foul languages and insults in the group. Respect other people's opinion. Refer to admin if issues are beyond your control.

Teams will not be allowed to play or post friendly matches results during fixture time. This will lead to loss of points or other penalties

6. Special Events and Challenges

Teams with best performances challenge aspects e.g., score more goals, concede less goals, will get offers or bonus rewards during or at the end of tournaments/league. (To be decided in future based on funds)

7. Broadcasting and Fan Interaction

Matches may be analyzed on virtual platforms, complete with commentary and match stats. (So, take your matches seriously).
